01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

At Yakiniku Toshouen (焼肉 桃松苑), the grill is anchored by hefty, satisfying portions, from the expansive slab of "Yokozuna Wagyu Harami" skirt steak to the "Tokusen Gokuatsu Tan," cut thick enough to recall cubes of beef tongue. The robustly textured harami balances concentrated red-meat flavor with a gentle layer of fat, taking on an even deeper savor when grilled over the grates. The extra-thick tongue pairs a clean, tender bite with juicy depth, making it an essential choice for anyone looking for substantial texture.

Selections like the "Yakishabu Ribeye," where thinly sliced prime Wagyu loin is flash-seared and coated in egg and tare sauce, offer a sukiyaki-style sweetness that pairs naturally with rice or drinks. Beyond standard individual orders of kalbi, loin, and harami, the kitchen offers combination platters that let diners taste and compare the individual characters of tongue, kalbi, and loin side by side. On weekdays, a dedicated evening drink set bundles one beverage with a daily side dish, house-made kimchi or mixed namul, and a small meat selection of scallion salted tongue, kalbi, and chicken neck meat (seseri), serving as a convenient post-work stop.

From Appetizers to Choice Finales: Full Courses and Side Dishes

For banquets and group dining, the restaurant provides all-you-can-drink course menus named after sumo wrestler ranks: Sekiwake, Ozeki, and Yokozuna. Courses open with house-made kimchi, mixed namul, and a choregi salad before progressing to beef tongue, selected cuts of Wagyu, sauce-marinated meats, and offal. Diners can round out the savory side of the meal with their choice of cold noodles, bibimbap, or curry, finishing with a dessert such as smooth house-made panna cotta.

Situated near Sumiyoshi Station in Koto Ward, the dining room provides table service and smokeless roasters that draw vapors directly into the table, keeping the environment comfortable while guests focus on grilling. With a broad drink lineup including draft beer, highballs, diverse sours, and shochu available by both the glass and bottle, the venue easily accommodates everything from social drinking parties to relaxed family meals.
